The drop rate on the Tokens is absolutely awful. A friend and i farmed the Seige quest that you get if you a Canthan Born by Tsumei Village. Loads of lvl3 mobs assaulting you. Racks up about 50 deaths in no time. Had 1 Token drop...
Its really not worth the effort. You could probably just create a new Factions char. Take the Glittering Dust quest, get the reward and delete/recreate the char and get more.

Yeah- not worth it. I troll farm, and I get one or two every run.

rollerbeetles can get you lots of tokens. otherwise, i find the drop rate very well, i tried out a new build i was working on to solo the mirror of lyss with ele, and i got at least 3 tokens (only cleared a few mobs). Farming in the sulfurous wastes got me about 4 tokens per run. tokens drop more often than cc shards imo

Are you kidding? The drop rate on tokens is horrible while CC shards were dropping pretty steadily. And I'm not the only one who thinks so either.

I've not seen a faster way than the rollerbeetles. That seems to be a MUCH faster way to get just tokens...

Only if you're good at rollerbeetle racing. Which I'm not. Maybe a just need practice... I've only done 4 races. But still, I'd prefer a different, easier way to get tokens. Especially since I've spent 200+ tokens and haven't got a pig yet.

Yes, that is the fastest. Monster drop rates and rollerbeetle rewards are pathetic, even if you got 1st place all the time I think starting a new char would be faster..

Only downfall on the creating new character is every character needs 50g (assuming their doing the glittering dust quest). Other then that, it's the best way.

But doing the first main profession quests gets you that 50gp - took me about 5 mins with a Mesmer char from creation to having the rewards (obviously having the GD in storage not material storage helps - as does having lots of it)
Anyone have an idea on the quickest char? Was thinking Necro may be better...

To get around this I think I'm just gonna join up with a guild mate and grab a ton of dust. One person will make a char, do the quest, then hold the dust for the other who will make a new char and do the same. Basically just trade the dust back and forth and you don't have to worry about storage fees.

That's what me and 2 guildies did. It's boring as RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO, but we scored 2700 tokens in about 6 hours.

what i did (stopped after like 4, completely boring) was create a new factions char, go do that forming a party quest (click a henchmen into your party, walk outside gg) 1 monastry credit is part of the reward, trade it for a scroll, merch, open storage, (have dust in basic storage) and sorted.

Make a new character, run out the gate and spend your 10 glittering dust on 25 tokens, trade items off, delete character ..
rinse, repeat.
